Along the way, you’ll visit the iconic cathedral and gain insights into Reykjavik’s unique heritage, all while indulging in traditional Icelandic cuisine.
Snæfellsnes Peninsula
Hop onboard our 4WD to explore this diverse area. Snæfellsjökull, the entrance to a fantastical subterranean world in Jules Verne’s 1864 novel Journey to the Centre of the Earth, has inspired numerous writers, poets, and artists. This 700,000-year-old glacier-capped volcano is considered one of the world’s ancient power sites.
The peninsula also boasts Iceland’s most photogenic mountain, Kirkjufell. This distinctly shaped mountain, situated beside a beautiful lake, often reflects a perfect mirror image on calm and clear days.

(Note: These are the driving times without sightseeing)
Golden Circle with Snowmobile Glacier Experience
Experience some of Iceland’s most iconic natural phenomena, topped off with an unforgettable snowmobile excursion on Langjökull Glacier.
During your Golden Circle tour, you’ll visit Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with captivating geological features, the highly active Geysir Hot Spring with its boiling mud pits, and the powerful Gullfoss Falls. This waterfall, located on the Hvítá River, is fed by Langjökull Glacier and plunges in two stages into a rugged canyon.
We will then drive to Langjökull Glacier, where you’ll dash across the snowfields on a snowmobile, gazing at mountain peaks while immersed in this icy realm.
Thórsmörk on a Superjeep
With its meandering gorges, gushing icy rivers, and three looming glaciers, Thórsmörk offers a wealth of captivating vistas. The gateway to Thórsmörk is the Eyjafjallajökull glacier, where meltwater tumbles 60 meters down the mountainside to form the thundering Seljalandsfoss waterfall. From here, you’ll head inland to the highland wilderness, crossing winding rivers and craggy riverbeds before arriving at the heart of Thórsmörk valley.
Depending on your interests, you can continue exploring in your superjeep or set off on foot with your private guide to discover various trails in this hiker’s paradise.
Car Transfer: South Coast to Hnapavellir
You will be transferred approximately 2.5-3 hours (driving time without sightseeing).
South Coast Discovery
The south coast of Iceland is a magical area filled with nature’s masterpieces, making it one of Iceland’s best road trips. You’ll encounter vast black lava beaches stretching as far as the eye can see, majestic waterfalls, rugged rock formations, and enchanting glacier tongues.
Visit the iconic black sand beach of Reynisfjara. As you walk along the jet-black sand, you’ll spot the Reynisdrangar rocky sea stacks, which, according to legend, are trolls turned to stone at sunrise as they tried to drag ships from the ocean to the shore.
You’ll also visit the charming coastal village of Vík í Mýrdal, where a picturesque church enjoys glorious ocean views. Nearby, you’ll find the natural rock arch of Dyrhólaey. Along the way, you’ll see some of Iceland’s most impressive waterfalls, including Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss.
A Glacier Snowmobiling Experience
During this 1-hour experience, you’ll have the chance to explore the top of Mýrdalsjökull, Iceland’s fourth-largest glacier, which covers the Katla volcano. We’ll take you up the mountain in a glacier truck, a journey of about 30 minutes each way. Once there, hop on our snowmobiles and ride up the ice cap. From the summit, enjoy breathtaking glacier landscapes and views over South Iceland (weather permitting). Everything you need for the tour is provided, and our expert guides will teach you how to handle the snowmobile safely while ensuring you have a fun and memorable adventure.
Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon
As the largest glacier lagoon and deepest lake in Iceland, Jökulsárlón is a mesmerizing enigma with its giant icebergs floating in the vast lagoon. This iconic sight has been immortalized in the James Bond film Die Another Day.
Ice Cave Tour
Visit Vatnajökull, Europe’s largest glacier, featuring various tongues flowing along steep mountainsides. Weather permitting, enjoy an ice cave tour with an expert guide (join-in basis). Grab your camera, strap on those crampons, and prepare for one of Iceland’s most unforgettable experiences.
Alternatively, we can arrange a glacier hike or a helicopter flight over Skeiðarárjökull glacier, including a visit to a rarely-visited secret ice cave*.
