Experience the adventure of your life traversing Chile, the longest and narrowest country in the world, and discover its diverse and unique panoramas.
You’ll begin in cosmopolitan Santiago, the capital that captivates with its rich cultural and political history, before travelling up North to the world’s driest desert – with arid landscapes shaped by volcanoes, geysers, salt flats, and lagoons. In the South, the Patagonia region effortlessly enraptures with cinematic landscapes of unparalleled beauty, and there, we explore Torres del Paine National Park – considered by many to be the Eighth Wonder of the World.
Arrival in Santiago
Upon arrival at Santiago Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may rest or explore the neighbourhood at leisure.
Visit Valparaíso Port & Viña del Mar Vineyards (Full-Day)
After breakfast, we drive ~1 hour and 45 minutes to the breezy coastal city of Valparaíso, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The port city is also known as the jewel of the Pacific, with colourful houses, antique funiculars, and multiple panoramic viewpoints. Continue to the rolling countryside and vineyards of Viña del Mar, also known as the Garden City, to enjoy its beautiful gardens, parks, and beaches.
To finish the day, we explore the nearby Casablanca Wine Valley and visit the Casas del Bosque Winery to taste some of the finest wines in the region.
Santiago City Tour (Half-Day)
Visit the Plaza de la Constitución, where the Government Palace (“La Moneda”) is located. We explore Plaza de Armas, the historical centre – where the Cathedral of Santiago, the Post Office, and the National Museum can be found.
Thereafter, discover Santiago’s trendiest neighbourhod – Lastarria, and scenic Santa Lucia hill (open Tues to Sun), before we continue along the most modern sector of Santiago. Explore San Cristóbal Hill (open Tues to Sun), with a funicular ride to the peak and the Blessed Virgin Mary statue. You may also visit Club Hipico and Cousiño Palace (entrance fee not included).
Transfer: Hotel to Airport
You would be transferred to the airport for your flight to the Atacama region.
Flight: Santiago to Calama
Take a ~2 hours 10 minutes flight from Santiago to Calama Airport, the closest airport to the town of San Pedro de Atacama.
Transfer: Airport to Hotel
Upon arrival at Calama Airport, you will be transferred ~1 hour 15 minutes to your lodge at San Pedro, from which you will explore Atacama’s unique landscapes.
Atacama Excursions
Known as the driest desert on Earth, the Atacama Desert is shaped by valleys, deserts, salt flats, geysers, and volcanoes, and is one of the most famous destinations in Chile. Explore the stunning Valle de la Luna, with otherworldly landscapes reminiscent of the surface of the moon, the Cordillera de la Sal (Salt Mountain Range), and the Piedras Rojas of Atacama (Red Rocks of Atacama). Other popular excursions include to the Salar de Atacama (the largest salt flats in Chile), the Cejar, Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons, and sunrise viewing at the El Tatio Geysers.
There’s plenty of trekking, horse-riding and even 4WD drive excursions to choose from, topped off by stargazing under the Atacama’s expansive clear skies at night. For wildlife lovers, there’s also a variety of fauna, including pink flamingoes, Andean foxes, guanacos, and vicuñas, to spot!
Transfer: Hotel to Airport
You would be transferred to Calama Airport for your onward journey.
Flight: Calama to Punta Arenas
Take a ~7½ hours flight (estimated time only) from Calama to Punta Arenas Airport, transiting through Santiago.
Free time at Punta Arenas
Enjoy some free time at Punta Arenas, a city often used as a base for excursions to Patagonia and Antarctica. If time permits, you may explore the city’s museums, the central plaza – Plaza de Armas Muñoz Gamero, and Mirador Cerro de la Cruz.
Transfer: Punta Arenas to Torres Del Paine National Park
After breakfast, we drive ~5 hours into Torres Del Paine National Park to check into your all-inclusive lodge, which will serve as your base for various excursions over the next few days
Torres Del Paine Excursions
Named by some as the eighth wonder of the world, Torres Del Paine in Patagonia is part of UNESCO’s biosphere reserve and is considered to be South America’s finest national park. Its cinematic scenery awes with teal lakes and emerald forests, crystalline glaciers, and purple-hued sunsets, set against the iconic granite peaks of Paine Massif.
Explore Patagonia’s stunning rugged landscapes through renowned treks, horsebacks rides, overland drives and kayaking expeditions. You may even encounter wild fauna such as the Patagonian guanaco, Andean condors, and the puma (if you’re very lucky) along the way!
Transfer: Hotel to Airport
You would be met and transferred to Punta Arenas airport for your journey home.
Easter Island, known as Rapa Nui in native language, is a remote volcanic island in the Pacific Ocean. It has an area of 163.6 km² and its capital city is Hanga Roa. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the island is most famous for its almost 900 giant stone statues (Moai), set on stone platforms called ahu.
The Moai statues are carved human figurines with oversize heads and are believed to have been created by native Polynesian inhabitants between the 13th and 16th centuries.
Note: Direct flights to Easter Island depart from Santiago. Flights are estimated to take ~4 ½ to 5½ hours.
Transfer: Airport to Hotel
Upon arrival at Easter Island’s airport, you would be met and transferred to your all-inclusive lodge, from which you will explore the island through shared excursions over the next few days. In the afternoon, you may begin exploring the island’s unique archaeological history or take the chance to unwind at leisure.
Easter Island Excursions
Explore one of the most remote places on Earth through a variety of unique, local cultural excursions. If you’re more adventurous, you may also embark on trekking, mountain biking, boating, and overland 4×4 excursions, or snorkeling and scuba diving explorations.
Some popular excursions include experiencing sunrise at Ahu Tongariki, the most famous and largest ahu on the island with 15 Moai, as well as sunset at Ahu Tahai. You may select your preferred excursion based on its difficulty level (low to high) and duration (half-day or full-day).
Transfer: Hotel to Airport
You would be transferred to the airport for your onward journey or flight home.
