Based in deluxe lodges located within picturesque villages, the abridged trek gives you a taste of the high life in comfort, and you enjoy unparalleled vistas of terraced rice fields, blooming valleys, and snow-capped Himalayas the whole way. You’ll also explore the capital, Kathmandu, which enchants with ancient Nepalese architecture and colourful streets.
Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
The rest of the day is free for you to explore Kathmandu at your leisure.
Highlights of Kathmandu
After a well-rested morning, enjoy a private guided tour of two UNESCO World Heritage sits in Kathmandu Valley: Boudhanath Stupa, one of the most revered Buddhist Stupas in the world, and Kathmandu Dubar Square, which showcases the city’s impressive legacy of Nepalese traditions and architecture.
Transfer: Hotel to Airport
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kathmandu airport for your onward journey.
Flight: Kathmandu to Pokhara
Take a short 30 minute flight to Pokhara, where you will be greeted by your trekking team.
Day 1 Trek: Pokhara to Birethanti
From Pokhara airport, we drive ~1½ hours to the trek starting point. Your Annapurna adventure begins along the mountain’s lower ridgeline, towards Modi River Valley where your lodge is located (Elevation: ~1,025m). There, enjoy magnificent views of the sacred and unclimbed Fishtail Mountain, Machhapuchhre. Enjoy lunch at the lodge and some free time during which you can take an optional walk to nearby Birethanti village or explore the surrounding river valley.
Trek distance: 5km | Trek time: ~ 3-4 hours
Day 2 Trek: Birethanti to Ghandruk
Continue your trek to Ghandruk (Elevation: ~2,012m), passing by picturesque farmlands, small villages, terraced rice fields, and lush forests as you ascend. Enjoy spectacular views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail, and Gangapurna along the way.
Trek distance: 9km | Trek time: ~5-6 hours
Day 3 Trek: Ghandruk to Landruk
From Ghandruk, the trail descends to the serene village of Landruk (Elevation: ~1,565m), which offers even more breathtaking vistas of the Annapurna range. You should arrive at your lodge around midday, after which you have free time to unwind or go on a leisurely hike with your guide around Landruk.

Day 4 Trek: Landruk to Majgaon
After a hearty breakfast, you will set off to Tomijong lodge (Elevation: ~1,400m). Along the way, you pass through small villages and vast farmland, all with Mt. Annapurna in the background. After arriving at the lodge, enjoy the afternoon at your leisure by exploring the region further or taking some time to recharge.

Day 5 Trek: Majgaon to Dhampus
The trek today passes through the quaint villages of Patlekhet, Dhampus and Pothana, where you’ll have the chance to experience local Nepalese life. In the village of Pothana, you may also meet some local Tibetan traders to pick up a souvenir or two. The scenery is stunning as the sub-tropical forests are full of tree orchids, rhododendrons and magnolias, and the trail offers captivating views of the entire Annapurna range. Like most afternoons, enjoy free time at Dhampus to relax or explore the village (Elevation: ~1,740m).

Day 6 Trek: Dhampus to Pokhara
After breakfast, you begin a gradual descent through lushly wooded hillside and terraced farmland to reach the valley floor (Elevation: ~1,000m).
Trek distance: 3km | Trek time: ~2 hours
Transfer: Ghattekhola to Pokhara
Upon reaching the trek end point, Ghattekhola, we transfer by vehicle to Pokhara (~45 minutes).
Enjoy some free time to explore the lakeside area of Pokhara on your own.
Transfer: To Airport
After breakfast, we transfer to Pokhara airport.
Flight: Pokhara to Kathmandu
From Pokhara airport, we take a short 30 minute flight back to Kathmandu.
Kathmandu at Leisure
Enjoy some free time to explore Kathmandu. Some options include Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is one of the most sacred Hindu temples in Nepal, and Swoyambhu Mahachaitya, another massive Buddhist stupa located in the west of Kathmandu.
Transfer: To Airport
You would be met and transferred to Kathmandu airport for your journey home.
