Suosong, Yusong and Dalin villages
Embark on an enriching excursion to the remote villages of Suosong, Yusong, and Dalin nestled within the enchanting Yarlung Tsangpo valley.
As you explore, marvel at the breathtaking landscapes and immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of these remote villages. As the world’s deepest canyon, the Yarlung Tsangpo valley offers unparalleled beauty throughout the year. However, it truly comes alive during the peach flower spring bloom (Mid-March to Mid-April). Morning Hike at Buddha Palm Dunes
Drive to the scenic Buddha Palm Dunes (3km/approx. 45min) for a short hike.
Car Transfer: Dalin to Lulang with Sightseeing
Embark on a scenic journey to Lulang (135km/approx. 3h), passing through the breathtaking Sejila Mountain Pass (4,728m). Here, you’ll be treated to stunning vistas of the easternmost Himalayan peaks, including Namcha Barwa and Jala Bailei, against the backdrop of pristine natural beauty.
As you traverse through the Lulang Sea of Flowers, dubbed the Switzerland of Tibet, you’ll be enchanted by snow-capped mountains, picturesque meadows dotted with cattle, and lush forests covering 80% of the area.
Lulang Stone Pot Chicken: A Taste of Tibet
A culinary delight with a taste of local cuisine: Lulang Stone Pot Chicken with Tricholoma matsutake. This iconic Lulang specialty is renowned for its rich flavour, thanks to locally sourced chicken and the abundance of matsutake mushrooms found in the forests of Lulang, celebrated for their aroma and exquisite taste. This is best enjoyed during the spring and summer seasons, when the rainy weather is conducive to the growth of these precious mushrooms.
Car Tansfer: Lulang to Rawu
For eager explorers, consider an early morning acclimatisation hike to Zhaxigang Village, a 1-2 hour trek situated at the base of Jialabailei Summit.
Following your hike, embark on a drive to your hotel near the Laigu area (287km/approx. 6h). Car Tansfer: Rawu to Bome with Sightseeing
Embark on a scenic drive (192km/approx. 3.5h) through winding rivers and dense forests to reach the Bome area. Along the way, stop for photos at Tongmai Bridge to capture the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
Guxiang Lake: The Tibetan Barn
This afternoon, delve into authentic village life by Guxiang Lake in the Bome area. Renowned as the Tibetan barn, Bome is celebrated for its high-altitude cultivation of various crops such as tea, wheat, barley, canola flowers, morel mushrooms, and pine mushrooms. Delights of Bome
Embark on a captivating day trip to the Zhuxi Glacier and the historic Pulong Temple, which dates back 400 years. If your visit coincides with the peach blossom season (Mid-March to Mid-April), revel in the enchanting sight of over 200,000 peach trees lining the road to the glacier, and take a memorable stop at the Bome Peach Blossom Village to fully immerse yourself in this natural spectacle.
Take a scenic Palong Zangbo river hike to discover a rare spruce forest. In the relatively warm subtropical alpine climate, these firs and spruces have flourished, growing up to 80 meters tall and reaching ages of over 180 years old.

Green Waters of Basong Tso
Indulge in an excursion to Basong Tso, which translates to “green water” in Tibetan. Embark on a boat ride and visit Tsodzong Monastery, located on a tiny islet reminiscent of Slovenia’s Lake Bled. This monastery is affiliated with the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism.
