Flight: Kathmandu to Lukla
During March to May or September to November, we will take a short 45 minutes Helicopter Flight to Lukla.

Lukla at Leisure
Enjoy some free time in Lukla (Elevation: ~2,840m), during which you can opt to unwind or go on an excursion around the village (~2-3 hours) as you acclimatise to the altitude.
Trek: Lukla to Monjo
After breakfast, meet your trekking crew and begin your Everest foothills trek from the Khumba “gateway”. Start with a gentle descent on stone trails through farms and charming hamlets while crossing several suspension bridges over the Dudh Kosi River. The trail gradually ascends and descends as you continue through pine and rhododendron forests until you reach peaceful Monjo village (Elevation: ~2,835m), from which you can catch first glimpses of the stunning Himalayan range.
Trek distance: ~12.5km | Trek time: ~6-8 hours
Trek: Monjo to Namche Bazaar
After a gentle descent down stone steps from Monjo, you cross a suspension bridge and reach Jorshale. This is also the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you will have to register and show your trekking permits.
As you trek, enjoy spectacular views of the Dudh Kosi river, lush forests, and snow-capped peaks, and ascend to Tup Dhara for the first view of Mt. Everest. From here, you continue to ascend gradually to Namche Bazaar (Elevation: ~3,440m), before you check into your lodge. You can take the time to unwind for the rest of the day or explore the Sherpa capital.
Trek distance: ~7.5km | Trek time: ~5 hours
Trek: Namche Bazaar to Hotel Everest View
If time permits, we first wander the bustling streets of Namche Bazaar and explore local shops selling trekking gear, handicrafts, and souvenirs.
The hike from Namche Bazaar to Hotel Everest View brings us on a scenic walk across a hill, and if we have some time, we may take a slight detour to the Sagarmatha National Park Museum along the way. The museum provides interesting information regarding the Himalayas, the traditional ways of the Sherpas, and the surrounding flora and fauna. You can then take excellent pictures at the View Point (near the Nepal Army camp) and marvel at the alluring snow-capped mountains in the background.
As we hike up to the hotel, you may also spot yaks grazing peacefully nearby or a Himalayan Tahr (wild goat) balancing perfectly on the cliffs. You cannot see the hotel until you are almost there as it is hidden behind a ridge, surrounded by tall fir trees. Enjoy spectacular 360-degree views of Mt. Everest (Sagarmatha), Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and surrounding Nepalese peaks from the hotel, which once held the record for Highest Placed Hotel in the world.
Trek distance: ~2km | Trek time: ~2-3 hours
