Meet your guide and embark on a guided city tour of Geneva and Carouge.
The city of Carouge was designed by Italian architects, has retained its Latin charm to this day. It used to be a separate town (alternatively French and Sardinian) until 1816, now a city district of Geneva. You will be under a spell as you walk along the streets and see the Mediterranean-style houses, a number of gardens and the small artists’ workshops.
The old town, the heart of Geneva with the shopping and business quarter, holds sway over the left-hand shore. It is dominated by St. Peter’s Cathedral, however the actual centre of the old town is the Place du Bourg-de-Four, which is the oldest square in the city.
French Annecy Guided City Tour
After breakfast, transfer to Annecy, known as “Venice and Rome of the Alps”. With its lake and canals that run through the old town as well as the rich history since the Middle Age, it is a city full of wonders to explore. Enjoy a guided visit of the city and see the old town, the old prisons and the castle of Annecy.
Alternative Option A: Geneva International Culture Experience
Culturally, this city on the westernmost fringe of Switzerland has much to offer. International artists perform in the Grand Théâtre and Geneva Opera House, an extremely diverse range of museums such as the “Musee International de I’horlogerie”, a watch museum with a collection of jewellery watches and musical clocks, and the International Museum of the Red Cross and Red Crescent.
Alternative Option B: Personalise your own watch in Geneva (Additional Cost)
In the afternoon, experience the Swiss made and the Swiss quality by making your own personalized watch! Choose the pieces and build your own piece of art during this watch-creation workshop and get to bring your watch home. This will be the most unique souvenir your will get from Switzerland. For young children, the class can be adapted to building their own clock instead. Contact us for more details.
