9 DAYS LEGENDS OF UZBEKISTAN
Tashkent, Nukus, Khiva, Bukhara & Samarkand
History & Culture, Off the Beaten
Journey into the fabled Silk Road, once braved by the Marco Polo and Alexander the Great. Follow the trails of the greats into the legendary cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva.
Explore the glorious minarets, mausoleums, caravanserais and trading domes where goods are traded like it was centuries ago.
We also explore the bustling Tashkent with its Soviet-inspired architectures and venture off the grid into Nukus, where you will explore “The Lost Louvre” housing avant-garde arts banned by Stalin.
Arriving into Tashkent International Airport, we will drive 9 km or about 20 minutes into the city centre.
Today’s orientation tour of Tashkent will bring you to the Independence Square, Amir Temur’s Square and Alisher Navoi Theatre Square. Hop across the Tashkent Metro to explore the beautiful train stations before concluding at the Museum of Applied Arts, housed in the ancient place of a Tsarist diplomat.
