09 March 2027 (Tue) Luxor - Esna

Luxor East Bank
The morning is devoted to the east bank's crown jewel, the Karnak Temple - one of the largest religious complexes ever built, where towering pylons, sacred lakes and a forest of colonnaded halls speak to centuries of pharaonic devotion and ambition.

The journey continues at the Luxor Museum, an intimate yet remarkable collection that brings ancient Thebes to life through masterpieces of pharaonic art and fascinating everyday objects unearthed from the surrounding region.

As noon arrives, Historia casts off and begins her graceful passage south towards Esna. Explore Egypt’s Hidden Gem
Another “wow” experience awaits today. Take an excursion by flight from Aswan to Abu Simbel. The colossus statues of Ramses II and Nefatari set by the lake is indeed a sight to behold. This is also perhaps UNESCO most amazing effort to save a monument.

After soaking in the grandeur, return by flight to Aswan. The evening is yours to savour aboard Historia one last time, as the Nile whispers a gentle farewell.

Day 7

12 March 2027 (Fri) Aswan

Highlight of Aswan
The morning opens with a visit to the enchanting Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis and one of Egypt's most romantically situated monuments. This sacred complex was entirely relocated to the island of Agilkia to save it from the rising waters of the Nile - a testament to the world's determination to preserve its ancient heritage.

The journey continues at the Granite Quarries, where the raw power of ancient Egyptian ambition is laid bare - including a vast unfinished obelisk still embedded in the rock, abandoned millennia ago. The afternoon offers a gentler pace, drifting serenely around Kitchener's Island aboard a traditional felucca, before checking in to your hotel in Aswan for the night.

The day concludes in the vibrant heart of Islamic Cairo at Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, one of the Middle East's oldest and most atmospheric markets. Secrets of Saqqara Tomb
Few experiences in Egypt match the privilege of stepping where almost no one has stood for 4,500 years. At Saqqara, the ancient necropolis of Memphis, explore the monumental Step Pyramid of Djoser before entering the Tomb of Wahtye - sealed, silent and untouched since the Old Kingdom until its astonishing discovery in late 2018 - on an exclusive private visit reserved for our group alone, accompanied (subject to his availability) by Dr. Mostafa Waziri, who was part of the original discovery team.

The afternoon brings the legendary Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, home to one of the world's most extensive collections of ancient artefacts, where over 170,000 treasures spanning thousands of years of pharaonic civilisation await your discovery.

Within its walls stands the magnificent Mosque of Mohamed Ali, its Ottoman domes and slender minarets soaring above the Cairo skyline in one of the city's most iconic silhouettes.
