We start the trip from Chengdu, famed for pandas and spicy cuisine. Head to Mt. Leshan for the world’s biggest stone Buddha statue and relax on a private hot spring after a stunning sunrise on top of Emei Mountain. Indulge in the picturesque Jiuzhaigou and Huang Long Valley, both listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Arrival in Chengdu

Car Transfer: Airport to Hotel

Upon arrival, you will be transferred approximately 20 km / 40 minutes into your accommodation.

Into the Alleys of Kuanzhai Xiangzhi

Explore the alleys and lanes of Kuanzhai Xiangzi (Wide/Narrow Alley). Comprising of three lanes and 45 courtyards, this bustling district dates to the times of the Qing dynasty. You can find local handicrafts, restaurants and food staffs here.

Welcome Dinner & Bian Lian Performance

Celebrate your welcome dinner in traditional Chengdu style with a hot pot dinner in Kuanzhai. Thereafter, let us treat you to a unique Sichuan performance art known as Bian Lian (VIP seat). The performers wear vivid masks, which change from one face to another almost instantaneously with the swipe of a fan. If you're interested, before the performance begins, you can also visit the actors' dressing rooms to watch them apply makeup, see the costumes, and interact with the performers.

Chengdu / Leshan / Mount Emei

Car Transfer: Chengdu to Mount Emei via Leshan

You will be driven approximately 150km / 2.5 hours to Leshan. Thereafter, you will be transferred approximately 37 km / 1 hour to your accommodation at the foot of Mount Emei.

Leshan Big Buddha

Leshan Big Buddha is the largest stone-carved sitting Buddhist statue in the world. You will have the opportunity to climb the entire height of the Buddha and enjoy a shared boat ride to view the Buddha from the river.

Mount Emei

Mount Emei

The UNESCO-listed Mount Emei is considered sacred by the Buddhists in China. Take a private car up to the mountain, followed by a park bus and cable car to Golden Summit (3,099m). At the summit, you will admire the sunrise glow, seas of clouds and the Buddha's halo. If you are feeling energetic, we can arrange a hike along the mountain (30 minutes per way). Descend by cable car and park bus to the Wannian Monastery, located mid-way of the mountain. Thereafter, you will be transferred back to your accommodation.

Mount Emei / Chengdu / Jiuzhaigou

Car Transfer: Hotel to Airport with Sightseeing

You will be transferred approximately 156km / 2 hours to Chengdu Shuangliu airport for evening flight to Jiuzhaigou. There will be sightseeing stops along the way.

Baoguo Temple & Fuhu Nunnery

As the first temple to be built on Mount Emei, Baoguo Temple is also the headquarter of the Emei Mountain Buddhism Association and the Buddhist activity center of Mount Emei. You will also visit Fuhu Nunnery and take a walk in the nearby Luomu Old Town.

Upon arrival at Jiuzhaigou airport, you will be transferred approximately 75km / 1 hour 45 minutes to your hotel.

Option 2: By Train to jiuzhaigou

You will be transferred approximately 180km / 2.5 hours to Chengdu Train Station and take a high-speed train to Jiuzhaigou.

Scenic Spots of Jiuzhaigou

Jiuzhaigou is a nature reserve and national park located in northwestern Sichuan province of southwestern China. It is part of the Min Mountains on the edge of the Tibetan Plateau and stretches over 72,000 hectares. Today, you will enjoy Jiuzhaigou’s most scenic spots. The name Jiuzhaigou came from nine Tibetan villages scattered throughout the valleys. With majestic and unrivalled emerald lakes, layered waterfalls, colourful forests, snowy peaks and Tibetan folk villages-all blending in harmony.

Jiuzhaigou In-Depth with Cultural Performance

You will spend another day in Jiuzhaigou National Park. From 5.30pm to 6.30pm, you will be treated to a cultural performance of Tibetan song and dance, with VIP reserved seat for you.

Jiuzhaigou / Huanglong / Chengdu

Car Transfer: Hotel to Airport via Huanglong

After checking out, you will be transferred approximately 96km / 3 hours to Huanglong Scenic Area. After your sightseeing, you will be transferred approximately 1 hour to Chengdu airport.

Huanglong: The Yellow Dragon

Located in the virgin forests, Huanglong Scenic Area is also known as the “Heavenly Scenery on Earth”. Admire the crystal-clear and sparkling pools in a terraced formation. The pools are surrounded by dark green forests surrounded by snow-white icy peaks. The entire sightseeing in Huanglong takes about 3-4 hours with an average altitude of is 3,200m.

Sanxingdui: Mystery of the Shu Kingdom

Visit the Sanxingdui Museum, featuring more than 1,500 exhibits unearthed from the Sanxingdui Ruins archaeological site. Learn about the mysterious culture of the ancient Shu Kingdom from over 4,000 years ago.

A Cottage’s Poet & Jinli Street

Explore cottage of the poet Du Fu, one of the literary lights of the Tang dynasty. This is the cottage where he lived from 760 – 764 and wrote 240 poems has been rebuilt many times but still reflects the simplicity of his life.

Conclude with a walk along Jinli Street, a charming alley 550 meters in length designed in the style of Shuhan period and fully renovated in 2024. The shops and restaurants feature all manner of local handicrafts and cuisine, making this one of the most visited sites in Chengdu.
