Many countries in Southeast Asia is blessed with many natural wonders, and Malaysia is undoubtedly one of them. Alive with buzzing cities, lush jungles teeming with wildlife, white sandy beaches and colourful marine life and a melting pot of Malay, Indian and Chinese cultures, Malaysia is undoubted “Truly Asia”.
A highlight of any luxury Malaysia holiday is a trip to Borneo, home to the world’s oldest tropical rainforest and incredible wildlife with the swingers, the orangutan as the star. Borneo also offers some of the finest beaches in the country with Asia’s finest reefs at Sipadan. Mt Kinabalu, standing at 4095m, is Southeast Asia’s highest peak and is on the bucket list for avid hikers wanting to conquer the summit.
On Peninsula Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur is a bustling city with iconic skyscrapers, shopping mall, traditional markets and a frequent transit stop for travellers. Along the coast, the country is peppered with many islands like Langkawi and Pangkor Laut, with its turquoise waters and powdery beaches.
Due to its geographical shape and location, the season differs. On Peninsula Malaysia, the best time to visit is during the dry season from December to February. If you are heading to the beach, the west coast (Langkawi) is ideal from November to April while the east coast (Redang Island, Perhentian) is right from March to September.
For Borneo, the best time to visit is during the dry season between March and October.
